Ag Olympics is a fun event for all 4-H, FFA, and other Youth Organization exhibitors. Participants will be in teams of 4 and divided by age groups K-3, 4-6, 7-8, and 9-12. Ag Olympics is a set of “obstacle course”-like games. There is running, throwing eggs or balls, pushing wheel borrows, etc. involved.

Permission Agreement, Release, and Waiver of Liability

This Agreement and Release and Waiver of Liability shall be governed by and construed under the laws of the State of Wisconsin, which shall be the forum for any lawsuits arising from or incident to this Agreement.

In consideration for being allowed to participate in the Ag Olympics (the “Activity”), I voluntarily agree to assume all risks to myself and/or the participant(s) named above during participation in the Activity. I understand that participating in the Activity will expose participants to above-normal risks of injury or harm. These risks include hazardous locations, physical contact or collisions with other participants, spectators, or inanimate objects on or about the location(s)s.

I understand that this event is in itself hazardous and may result in injury to participants. I understand that direct supervision will not be provided and by participating in the Activity, I am exposing myself and/or the participant(s) named above to the risk of injuries, including, but not limited to, temporary or permanent muscle soreness, sprains, strains, cuts, abrasions, bruises, pulled hair, ligament and/or cartilage damage, dental damage, broken bones, head, neck, or spinal injuries, loss of use of arms and/or legs, eye damage, disfigurement, or death. Risks may include, but are not limited to, slipping and falling, crashing against an object or other people which may result in spraining, fractures, scrapes, bruises, dislocations, and contusions to the head, back, neck, or extremities. I acknowledge there is also the risk of emotional upset or anxiety. I also recognize that there are both foreseeable and unforeseeable risks of injury or death that may occur as a result of participation in the Activity which cannot be specifically listed. Further, I recognize that the actions of other people either affiliated or not affiliated with the event organizers may cause harm or loss to my and/or the participant(s) named above person or property.

I understand that I am financially responsible for any medical expenses as a result of my and/or the participant(s) named above voluntary participation in this activity.

I (participant, parent, or legal guardian), give my permission for the above-named individuals to participate in the Dane County Fair Ag Olympics (the Activity). I hereby RELEASE FROM LIABILITY, IMDEMNIFY, and HOLD HARMLESS the Dane County Fair, and any of the officers, department chairs/superintendents, volunteers, servants, agents, and employees of the above-mentioned entities (hereinafter referred to as RELEASEES) for any liability, claim and/or cause of action arising out of, or related to, any loss, damage or injury, including death, costs or other expenses or liabilities incurred by the individuals and anyone accompanying them that occurs as a result of my and/or the participants named above voluntary participation in the Activity.

Nothing in this Permission Agreement, Release, and Waiver of Liability is intended to replace, modify, abridge, or limit any protections or immunity available to the Dane County Fair Association Inc. and the Releasees under Wisconsin Law.
