Free Nightly Concert Series Returns to Dane County Fair

MADISON, WIS. – The Dane County Fair is excited to announce the return of its free nightly concert series. This year’s lineup brings hometown favorites and nationally touring acts to Madison, July 19-23. The performances are scheduled for Wednesday-Saturday at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday beginning at noon on the Ho-Chunk Gaming Madison Stage at the Alliant Energy Center.

Following are the details of the 2017 Dane County Fair concert series:

Wednesday, July 19
YouTube sensation Ayo & Teo, known for their unique dance style and song “Rolex,” will be joined by Wisconsin native, Disney Channel actress and recording artist Skylar Stecker, as well as up-and-coming duo, Xuitcasecity! These high-energy artists create the perfect recipe for an outdoor dance scene no one will want to miss.

Thursday, July 20
Hometown Hero Day, presented by Conney Safety ends on a star-studded sweet note. Local veteran rock band, Guitars for Vets, kicks-off the night with Citizen Zero taking the stage next to launch their summer headlining tour! Capping off the night, on the verge of releasing their first full album, is rock group, Wayland!

Friday, July 21
Contemporary Christian artist Josh Wilson takes the stage for a great family night out at the Fair. Wilson, best known for his singles “Savior, Please” and “Before the Morning,” will have you signing along the entire night as you enjoy your favorite fair foods with your friends and family.

Saturday, July 22
Hometown favorite, Cherry Pie, is taking over the stage on Saturday night! This group will have you reminiscing as they cover 80’s favorites by Journey, Bon Jovi, Van Halen and more while you enjoy an ice-cold beverage.

Sunday, July 23
Sunday is an all-day fiesta! Beginning at noon, La Movida takes over the stage with performances by traditional Latino artists and dancers, jalapeño and taco eating contests and an el grito contest.

This concert series would not be possible without the support of local Midwest Family Broadcasting stations, 93.1 Jamz, 94.1 JJO, Magic 98 and La Movida, along with Life 102.5.

Since 1851, the Dane County Fair has been a “Ticket to Fun” as it serves as the gathering place for the community of Dane County. The annual event that features a world class carnival, free concerts, animals, fair food, youth projects and more will be held July 19-23, 2017 at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wis.
