Dane County Fair Seeking Applicants for Fairest of the Fair

MADISON, WIS. – Applications are now open for those wishing to serve as The 2016 Dane County Fairest of the Fair. Serving as the official ambassador for The Dane County Fair, The Dane County Fairest of the Fair educates and promotes the Fair through appearances in local parades, festivals and events. The Dane County Fairest of the Fair also appears daily during The Dane County Fair and participates in the Wisconsin Fairest of the Fairs competition. 

“I would encourage anyone who is passionate about speaking, enjoys meeting new people and wants to promote the Fair in a positive and energetic way to apply for this position,” said Mariah Martin, 2015 Dane County Fairest of the Fair. “I gained so much from this position. From the people I met to the experiences I had, it was truly an experience of a lifetime.”

Candidates will be selected based on communications skills, knowledge and experience of The Dane County Fair, school and community activities, professional appearance and personality. Eligible candidates will participate in an interview and selection process on April 3, 2016.
